🔊🔊 World cup event report Vol.3 🔊🔊 Hello everyone, The group phase of the World Cup 2022 has now come to an end and we thought it was time to update you about how things are going and what will happen next ! 📈📈 A few statistics 📈📈 Let's start with the usual statistics! We’re pleased to announce that the group phase alone totaled over 200,000 $PROS ! With an average of 14,640 $PROS predicted per day, or 4,432 $PROS average per pool, the very good start we had over the first 4-5 days then slowed down a little in terms of volume. On the other hand, the number of participants kept growing at a steady pace, with almost 400 unique participants having made more than 2500 predictions, or an average 165 predictions per day of competition ! The group phase was very entertaining with lots of unexpected results, often leading to killer ratios such as x6.37 on Cameroon, x6.99 on South Korea, x8.61 on Japan and x8.77 on Tunisia. We hope the final phases will be equally crazy and bring more opportunities to our predictors! It is worth noting that although the first contender of our leaderboard has now secured a comfortable lead with more than 30,000 $PROS predicted - although nothing is settled - the positions below 25th (40 $PROS rewarded) are still very much attainable with a volume of just above 1500 $PROS! With the 1/8th finals phase starting today, we’re already seeing very nice volume on matches such as Netherlands - USA already totaling 11,696 $PROS predicted. It feels like serious business is about to begin! 🛠🛠 Changes 🛠🛠 To complement the 2 pools created for each match day, we’ve decided to add 2 extra pools based on Matches stats (who will score, how many goals, etc.) starting on Monday 05/12. 4 Stat pools will be created on no-match days between the 1/4rth finals, semi finals and finals days. ⚙️⚙️ Updates and fixes ⚙️⚙️ - We are still experimenting with the best settings to get the Predictions ending right when the match begins. So far, we’ve had some exact timings and some pools ending after the beginning of the match on days where the BSC was really slow (3.08 sec per block). We apologize for such situations and will adapt to our best to avoid it from happening again. A definitive solution will be implemented after the WC event. - We are still experimenting with the best settings to get the settlement period long enough to cover for any unexpected event and / or extra time, but short enough to let people claim their winnings before the closure of the next prediction pool. - We are fixing an issue with our algorithm incorrectly collecting a low percentage of fees on all predictions made until now. Starting after maintenance, the Smart Contract will correctly collect a maximum of 4.25% of all predictions. - Various UX bugs have been fixed. - Various UX improvements have been implemented. 📵📵 Maintenance downtime 📵📵 After the 1/8th Finals, on December 7, 18:00 UTC, Prosper’s platform will have downtime for maintenance to prepare for the 1/4th and implement some upgrades. ⚠️⚠️ ATTENTION ⚠️⚠️ All users must claim all their gains before December 7, 18:00 UTC.
